Diagnosis: See Van Soest (2002).

Type species: Spanioplon armaturum ( Bowerbank, 1866) .

Included species: In WPD, Van Soest et al. (2018) listed three valid species. We have examined material only of the type species, Spanioplon armaturum ( Bowerbank, 1866) .
