Remarks.—This widespread species was described by Bates in the genus Xestia Audinet-Serville, 1834 (junior homonyny), and is known from Mexico ( Oaxaca, Chiapas, Veracruz, Quintana Roo), Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Brazil ( Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Paraná).

Material examined.— BELIZE ( new country record), Stann Creek District, 3 specimens, Toucan Ridge Ecology & Education Society field station ( TREES), Middlesex, 37 km W of Dangriga , 20 June—1 July, 2016, L.G. Bezark, collector, mv/blacklight ( LGBC) .
