Herein, the first records of Geocoris amabilis Stṏl, 1855 in View in CoL
the archipelago are reported: On 14- 12-2024, an adult specimen of this Afrotropical species ( Fig. 1 View Fig ) was found in San Fernando , the northern quarter of Maspalomas in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, located in the south of the island of Gran Canaria (coordinates: 27.765402, -15.579508) GoogleMaps . Two photographs of the specimen were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here).
Furthermore, on 23-01-2025, an adult specimen of G. amabilis was observed in Playa del Inglés , Maspalomas (coordinates: 27.7538779, -15.578265) GoogleMaps . Two photographs of the specimen were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here).
