Homotypic synonym: — Cestichis exilis (J.J.Sm.) M.A.Clem. & D.L.Jones in Jones & Clements (2005: 39). Type:—Nieuw Guinea ( INDONESIA. New Guinea, Irian Jaya), an der Noordrivier, Spitze des Resirug, 900 m, August 1907, Expedition of Lorentz in 1907., G.M. Versteeg 1665 ( lectotype BO 0069930! with original J.J.Smith’s icon, designated here, isolectotypes
BO–744 spir. coll.!, L–0061549!).
Note:—Smith’s noted at herbarium type-sheets that ‘main’ type specimen is that from Bogor and for this reason I designated it as lectotype.
