Type material.
Holotype: Norway, Svalbard, Krossfjorden, Kollerfjorden, below a bird cliff in Christian Michelsenfjella W , 50 m, 22 July 1974, A. A. Frisvoll, TRH B-19481 ! Isotypes: O, S, TRH .
Description.
Plants medium-sized, dark green, dull, without metallic luster; stems 2–4 cm long, more or less julaceous; leaves concave, two types of leaves: symmetrical and asymmetrical, ovate, 2.4–2.8 × 1.2–1.5 mm (Fig. 8 B View Figure 8 ); the apex acuminate, often gently curved; margins not denticulate near the apex; laminal cells narrowly elongate-hexagonal, asymmetric, 80–120 × 7–10 μm at midleaf (Fig. 8 D View Figure 8 ), cell areolation tight; decurrencies of 3 rows of rectangular to quadrate cells.
