Type locality: Chikishlyar ( Turkmenistan).
Published locality: “Tschikschljar”.
Syntypes: ♀, ♂ Tschikschljar [ Turkmenistan, Balkan Region, Chikishlyar, 37°45′N 53°47′E] (see remark below) GoogleMaps .
Current status. Pseudoanthidium ( Pseudoanthidium) puncticolle ( Morawitz, 1888) View in CoL (transferred by Popov 1950: 317).
Remarks. Morawitz (1888: 250) described Anthidium puncticolle based on one male and one female specimen. The syntypes labelled as “Tschikschljar” have not been found in the ZISP collection. However, there is a female and a male from Krasnovodsk ( Turkmenistan) labelled by F. Morawitz as Anthidium puncticolle ( Fig. 26a–e View FIGURE 26 ). While these specimens mostly correspond to the original description, they differ in variable features such as the pattern of colouration on the scutum and metasoma. Therefore, these specimens do not belong to the type series, and the types are probably lost.
Distribution. Iran, Turkmenistan ( Warncke 1982; Kasparek 2024).
