CURRENT STATUS. A junior synonym of Anthophora bimaculata (Panzer, 1798)

(Brooks 1988: 561).

DISTRIBUTION. Russia: European part; Europe, Georgia, Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan,

Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, China.

REMARK. The species was described from the males collected in “in prov. Orenburgensi”.

There is only one male in IZKP from this locality ( Orenburg), which corresponds to the original description of Eversmann. This male is designated here as a lectotype of Anthophora albifrons Eversmann ( Fig. 11 View Figs 1–24 ) .
