Holotype:— BRAZIL. Minas Gerais: Santana do Riacho, Serra do Cipó , 28 February 1991, S. Mayo, M.C.E. Amaral, I. Cordeiro & J.R. Pirani CFSC7026 ( SPF [ SPF18618 ]!; isotypes MG [ MG144560 ], digital image!; SP [ SP031897 ]!; UEC [ UEC124309 ]!).
Note:—The isotype from the MG herbarium was found after the publication of this species and therefore is added here.
