Notes.
Scytalidium uredinicola was introduced by Kuhlman et al. (1976). In this study, the ex-type strain ( CBS 578.75 ) of S. uredinicola nested in the genus Caliciopsis and was closely related to C. pinea ( CBS 139.64 ) (Fig. 1 View Figure 1 ). However, they can be distinguished by their low sequence similarities. The ITS sequence similarities between S. uredinicola ( CBS 578.75 ) and C. pinea ( CBS 139.64 ) were 97.1 %. Therefore, we transfer S. uredinicola to Caliciopsis as Caliciopsis uredinicola .
