Diagnosis. Similar to the other species of Canarilabis in terms of external morphology, males can be identified by the unique combination of the following characters: rudimentary tegmina present as lateral flaps; lateral glandular folds developed on both tergites 3 and 4 but only slightly visible; tergites 6–9 or 7–9 rugoso-striate at sides; penultimate sternite with posterior margin truncate, slightly concave, truncate part as wide as 1/3 of the maximal width of sternite, manubrium approximately 1.6–1.8 times longer than penultimate sternite; outer margin of paramere broadly rounded, without angular projection.
