Female. Sternite VII long; laterally with lobate extensions; deeply excavated medially to about 2/5 of its length, with a bipronged medial lobe. First valvifer with distinct clublike posterior extension; other characters as in genus description.

Notes. The male genitalia are unusual in possessing an aedeagal shaft that is dorsoventrally flattened and asymmetrical. The genitalia were illustrated by Linnavuori (1959) but are re-illustrated here to provide clarity. The ovipositor structures are illustrated and described here for the first time.
