Like subsp. (a) but leaves greyish-arachnoid-hairy; involucre 8-10 mm in diameter, ovoid-cylindrical; fimbriae yellowish-brown or white, 12-15 on each side. Outer florets radiate. S. Spain (Sierra Nevada).
