Chrysopa pleuralis occurs in Canada, in the southern interior of British Columbia and in the Rocky Mountains of southwestern Alberta. All Canadian localities reported in literature have been authenticated. All specimens reported here are documented with data in Garland (1982, 2000), or as new records (above). Based on label data, adults have been found from 1720 m to 6–7000 ft [1830–2135 m] above sea level. The adult from Merritt BC was associated with Pinus ponderosa ; those from Fortress Mountain AB, with Equisetum .
