Description. Male. Measurements (mm). Body length 4.72–5.76, LH 0.98–1.15, WH 1.06–1.28, WF 0.54–0.72, WOT 0.28–0.30. Color . Head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark brown; wings hyaline; antenna and legs light brown. Head. Malar space absent; median clypeal lobe trapezoidal; gena not visible in dorsal view; mandible with four distinct apical teeth; hypostoma angled medially; frons punctured and smooth; frontal line absent; eye glabrous; anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line. Mesosoma . Dorsal pronotal area punctured and smooth; notaulus complete, narrow, diverging posterad; parapsidal signum narrow; metapostnotal median carina of metapectal-propodeal disc irregular, incomplete posteriorly. Hind wing thick, jugum not fused with remigium. Metasoma. Hypopygium with posterior margin incurved. Genitalia. Harpe with medial-dorsal corner partially arched, apical margin slightly incurved, dorsal margin outcurved, divided in dorsal and ventral arms; dorsal arm laminar, apex straight and anterior to ventral arm apex; ventral arm laminar and rounded, apex setose and posterior to apex of cuspis; aedeagus with apical lobe not gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is flat, aedeagal apex posterior to apex of ventral arm of cuspis, with one pair of apical lobes, lobe progressively narrowing apically. Female. Unknown.

Variations. Posterior ocellus crossing supra-ocular line is present in species from Maranhão and Piauí.

Differential diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to C. spinipes by having the genitalia harpe with medial-dorsal corner partially arched, the apical margin of harpe slightly incurved, the dorsal margin of harpe outcurved and apical projection of basivolsella setose and posterior to the apex of digitus. However, C. guajajara sp. nov. differs from C. spinipes by having the transverse posterior carina absent, the paraspiracular carina absent, the metapostnotal median carina incomplete posteriorly, the aedeagus with apical lobe not gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is flat and with one pair of apical lobes, whereas C. spinipes has the transverse posterior carina present, the paraspiracular carina present, the metapostnotal median carina complete, the aedeagus with slightly gibbous to such an extent that dorsal surface is slightly convex with two pairs of apical lobes.

Etymology. The specific epithet guajajara refers to the indigenous people "Guajajara" from Maranhão, Brazil.
