Variations. There are no variations.

Differential diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to C. inca by having the harpe flat, the apical margin slightly incurved, the dorsal margin straight and the apical projection of basivolsella setose. However, C. tenetehara sp. nov. differs from C. inca by having the anterior ocellus anterior to supra-ocular line, the posterior hypopygeal margin straight, the cuspis apex rounded and posterior to apex of digitus, whereas C. inca has the anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line, the posterior hypopygeal margin outcurved, the cuspis apex straight and aligned with apex of digitus.

Etymology. The specific epithet tenetehara refers to the indigenous people “Tenetehara” from Maranhão and Piauí, Brazil.
