Diagnosis. – C. digna is recognizedby havingthe bodyandforewingsabove dark metallic purplish-blue. Hindwings dark brown, thinly scaled, with somewhat semihyaline streaks on basal and median area, below discal cell. Androconial pouch on hindwing present, although it is not mentioned by Schaus in the original description ( Schaus, 1911) nor Hampson’s posterior description of this species ( Hampson, 1914). In the male genitalia C. digna presents a small elongate finger-shaped lobe arising ventrally and to the left side of vesica, that is also characteristic of this species.
