Von der von Coleophora auricella
(Fabricius, 1794) abgespaltenen Art liegen aus der Schweiz gesicherte Nachweise aus dem Jura (La Neuveville BE, Biel BE,
Twann BE, Cornaux NE, Le Landeron NE)
und aus dem Wallis (FullY, Val d’Hérens)
vor. Während Coleophora paucinotella trocken-heisse Biotope bewohnt, wo sich die Raupen an Stachys recta entwickeln, Abb. 8. Coleophora paucinotella ♂, Cornaux (NE) , wurde Coleophora auricella an weniger 1.5.2008, e. l. (Foto R. BrYner) wärmebegünstigten Stellen gefunden. Ihre
Raupen leben an Stachys officinalis ( Seliger et al. 2022) .
