Basionym: Gloeocystidiellum rajchenbergii Gorjón & Hallenb., Mycol. Progr. View in CoL 12: 186. 2013.
Notes: The species was recently described from Chile and is morphologically similar to other species of Confertotrama by having compact texture, thick-walled gloeocystidia and narrowly ellipsoid to cylindrical basidiospores ( Gorjón & Hallenberg 2013). In the published ITS tree and our present phylogenetic analyses, the species formed a strongly supported lineage with Gloeocystidiellum aspellum View in CoL , Gm. compactum View in CoL and Gm. formosanum ( Gorjón & Hallenberg 2013) View in CoL . Thus, we propose this combination here.
