Cussolenis wallacei Muona, 2020: 5 (original description; published type locality: Luang Namtha, Laos).

Type Locality. Laos: Luang Namtha, Luang Namtha Province .

Type Depository. Holotype, M ( FMNH); 6 Paratypes: 4 M, 2 F ( FMNH).

Material examined. 38 specimens ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1–6 ) were examined from Darjeeling & Jalpaiguri districts, West Bengal ( FRID) .

Distribution in India. West Bengal (Darjeeling District, Jalpaiguri District).

General Distribution. India (present study), Laos, Malaysia, Thailand ( Muona 2020).

Remark. This represents the first confirmed record of the genus Cussolenis from India, and we report C. wallacei as newly recorded from the country. Gardner (1936) described the larva of Cussolenis sp. under the name Cussolenis mutabilis (Bonvouloir, 1875) . However, as hypothesised by Muona (2020: 4), this larva is likely C. wallacei , and its confirmed presence in India supports his prediction.
