Plant usually slender, green. Cauline leaves rarely more than 3 mm wide. Heads rather few-flowered. Epicalyx-scales cuspidate, dark brown, awned; awn of epicalyxscales usually 3-5 mm. Calyx 14-17 x 2-5-3 mm. Jugoslavia, N. Greece, Bulgaria.
