Rio Grande do Sul: Pelotas, Instituto Agronómico do Sul, collected on sandy campo, 20 Apr 1946, J. Swallen 9120 (holotype: US 1912777; isotype: S!).
Iconography — Vega and Rúgolo de Agrasar (2012: 307). Geographical Distribution and Ecology — Peru ( Tovar 1993), Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina. It is frequent in loose sandy lands from sea level to 1,276 m.
