Remarks. Dropephylla loebli Shavrin, 2024 was recently described based on the holotype deposited in the collection of MHNG, collected in Kars, Turkey ( Shavrin 2024). Some time later after the description, A.F. Newton (Chicago) sent a letter where he noted that this name “…is a junior primary homonym of Dropephylla loebli Thayer 2003 , from Mexico and USA [ Thayer 2003]”. Therefore, a new replacement name is proposed under the Article 34.2 of ICZN.
