Discussion Tese otoliths are characterized by their high-bodied appearance (OL:OH = 0.88–0.93), the strong postdorsal angle and the relatively large sulcus without ostial lobe. Tey resemble otoliths of the extant species E. chancei ( Fig. 37a–b View Fig ) and E. lori ( Fig. 37e View Fig , formalin-eroded specimen).
