Shibutsu, Oze, Katashina–mura, Gunma Prefecture, 36º54'12"N, 139º10'25"E, 2200 m elevation, 8-IX-1996, litter of scrub dominated by Pinus pumila, O. Nakamura View in CoL leg.; 2 males, 1 female, Busseki, Nakatsugawa, Chichibu–shi, Saitama Prefecture, 35°59'44"N, 138°49'30"E, 670 m elevation, litter of a forest dominated by F. crenata View in CoL and Q. crispula View in CoL , 26-IV-1988, K. Machida leg.; 2 females, same locality, 700 m elevation, 13-XI-1986, Nakamura O. leg.

Additions to description. On head, setae aa, pa and m4 present, sensilla as and ps present ( Fig. 52A); seta sp 1.5 times longer than p; sensilla pp distinct ( Fig. 52B), 1.5 µm long. Labral setae present. Seta rs inflated, equal to sr in length ( Fig. 52C). On maxillary palpus ( Fig. 52D) sensillum md, 8–9 µm long, slightly longer than ml, 7 µm. Digits on galea developed, O slightly longer than M and I ( Fig. 52E). Mandible with two teeth ( Fig. 52F). On hind tarsus ( Fig. 52G) D2 and D4 spine-like, D4 longer and more slender in distal part than D2. Tracheal camerae long, contracted distally ( Fig. 52H). Central lobe trapezoidal and linner line incised ( Fig. 52I). Laterostigmata II–IV large, without inner structure; those on V–VII small. Male genitalia with long basiperiphallar setae. On abdominal tergite VIII ( Fig. 52J) P1a' without basal dilatation and anterior to P2; P2a linear.

Distribution. Japan ( Hokkaido, Honshu and Sado).
