Description of Exiguobacterium undae US View in CoL 12
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rod-shaped with 1.1-1.2 μm in diameter. Colonies are ivory, circular and raised after 3 days of incubation on R2 A at 30℃. Positive for glucose fermentation, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, arginine dihydrolase, and urease activities. Utilizes D-maltose only and does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain US12 (NIBRBAC000510635) was isolated from wetland of Paju, Gyeonggi-do, Korea ( 37°44 ʹ 29.6 ʺ N, 126°47 ʹ 35.2 ʺ E) GoogleMaps .
