Lectotypus (designated by HILLIARD & BURTT, 1981: 239): SOUTH AFRICA: Cape, Thunberg s.n. ( G-PREL [ G00818049 ]!; probable isolecto-: G-PREL [ G00818141 ]!) ( Fig. 7 View Fig ).
Notes. – A specimen in the Cape herbarium in G-PREL ( Fig. 7 View Fig ) was designated as the implicit lectotype by HILLIARD & BURTT (1981: 239) as “herb. Houttuyn now in herb. Burman, G! ”. A further specimen collected by Thunberg is in the Burman herbarium (G-PREL [G00818141]) and probably is an isolectotype. No duplicate has been located at UPS-THUNB.
