Type locality: Mukteswar , Naini Tal District, State of Uttarakhand, India

Type host: the holotype specimen was collected from vegetation

Comments: some specimens in the original description of Haemaphysalis indoflava were classified as Haemaphysalis flava by Sharif (1928).
