Type locality: Irbid, Irbid Governorate, Jordan

Type host: domestic goat

Current status: a synonym of Rhipicephalus kohlsi ( Horak et al. 2002) and its original name. The current status of Boophilus kohlsi , as Rhipicephalus kohlsi , was also provided by Horak et al. (2002).

Comments: IR visited the FMNH in 2024 and the paratypes were not found there .
