Type depository: IZAS: holotype (male) and paratypes (males and females)

Type locality: southern area, Xinjiang, China .

Type host: goat

Current status: a synonym of Haemaphysalis danieli ( Teng & Jiang 1991) .

Comments: Camicas et al. (1998) and Horak et al. (2002) treated Haemaphysalis xinjiangensis as valid.
