This Saharo-Arabian species was described from Senegal, and is widespread from North Africa to Arabian Peninsula, in Saudi Arabia and Yemen (zur Strassen & van Harten 2006). This species is unique among members of subgenus Trybomiella by the presence of only one pair of pronotal setae developed; pa, aa and ml setae are vestigial.
