Distribution. India: West Bengal (Warren 1911). Global: Nepal, Thailand ( Kononenko & Pinratana 2013). Remarks: The species was again described by Warren in Seitz, 1913: 114.

Type species: Phalaena micacea Esper, 1789 : pl. 145, by subsequent designation by Guenée, 1852: 128. Hydroecia Agassiz, 1846 [1847]: 187, 188 (An unjustified emendation) Hadroecia Schaus, 1894: 231 (An incorrect subsequent spelling)
