Range: —Hispaniola; southern Mexico to Suriname and Bolivia (CO, LP); southeastern Brazil.
Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic and saxicolous in humid forest, often high in the canopy and at other sunny sites; 600–2000(–2900) m.
Notes: —Differs from H. undulatum by rachises fully or mostly winged, and rachis wings much more strongly crispate ( vs. undulate). Blades are narrow, 0.75–2 cm wide, extremely crisped, with strongly ruffled margins.
