= Sphaerocionium plumieri (Hook. & Grev.) C.Presl , Hymenophyllaceae (Presl) 34. 1843. [ Abh. Königl. Böhm. Ges. Wiss., ser. 5, 3: 126. 1843]. Range: —Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia. Ecology: —Common; pendent epiphyte or less commonly upright terrestrial on earth banks in humid forests; 600–2200 m. Notes: — Hymenophyllum lindenii Hook. , from Venezuela to southern Peru, is likely to occur in Bolivia. It differs from H. plumieri by thicker ( 0.7–1.2 mm in diameter) and longer ((8) 10–15 cm vs. 2–7 cm long) petioles, and broader ( 8–15 cm vs. 3–8 cm wide), ovate to ovate-lanceolate ( vs. linear) blades usually not reduced towards the base.
