Replacement name proposed by Kammerer (2006: 269) for Venilia , name already used for molluscs, insects, birds… Type species: Paralorryia liberta Livshitz, 1973 . Venilia is a junior synonym of Tydeus according to André (1980: 154) or junior synonym of Brachytydeus according to André (2005: 995). Senior homonym of Kuznetsovia , replacement name advanced by Doweld (2016) for a Crustacea.
