Description of Metabacillus sediminilitoris SBCC-1704
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rod-shaped without flagella. Colonies are light yellow, Irregular , flat, and glistening after 3 days of incubation on MA at 25℃. Positive for esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, and gelatinase activities. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain SBCC-1704 (NIBRBAC000510513) was isolated from tidal flat of Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, Korea ( 37°12 ʹ 24 ʺ N 126°38 ʹ 39 ʺ E) GoogleMaps .
