12. Mitjaevia subtilis Yang & Zhang sp. nov.

( Figs 11 View FIGURE 11 , 15l View FIGURE 15 )

Description: Ground color light yellow-brown, with black patches. Patches between basal triangles and middle line of scutellum forming Y-shaped black patch ( Fig. 15l View FIGURE 15 ).

Pygofer dorsal appendage narrow basally, dorsal margin waved and apex pointed, ventral margin protruded subapically; without ventral appendage ( Fig. 11a View FIGURE 11 ). Subgenital plate rounded apically, lateral margin with two rows of short stout setae subbasally which form one row from subbase to apex; with 3 macrosetae in subapical area ( Fig. 11b View FIGURE 11 ). Style with apical part slender, apex foot-like ( Fig. 11c View FIGURE 11 ). Aedeagal shaft short, apical part slightly curved dorsad, with pair of short processes extending from ventro-basal area; preatrium much longer than shaft; gonopore subapical on basal surface ( Figs 11e, f View FIGURE 11 ).

Measurement: Length of male 3.45mm, female 3.47mm.

Material examined: Holotype: ♂, China: Shaanxi Prov., Qinling, Mt. Tiantai , 1900m, 3 ix 1999, Rubus spp. coll. I. Dworakowska; paratypes: 15♀♀, same date as holotype; 43♂♂ 159♀♀, Sichuan Prov., Huding County, Moxi Town , 1600m, 5 xi 1999, coll. Qin Daozheng; 13♂♂ 16♀♀, Sichuan Prov., Huding County , Moxi Town , 1600m, 4 xi 1999, coll. I. Dworakowska; 11♂♂ 13♀♀, Sichuan Prov., Huding County , Moxi Town , 1500m, 4 xi 1999, coll. I. Dworakowska; 1♂ 6♀♀, Sichuan Prov., Huding County , Moxi Town , 1650m, 5 xi 1999, at light, coll. I. Dworakowska; 1♂ 5♀♀, Sichuan Prov., Moxi Town , 3000m, 5 xi 1999, coll. I. Dworakowska (all preserved in NWAFU).

Diagnosis: This new species is similar to M. gracilis sp. nov. but the pygofer dorsal appendage has a crenulated dorsal margin, the style is more slender, the style preapical lobe is less strongly produced, and aedeagal processes are thicker and divergent from the shaft apically.

Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ subtilis ”, referring to the slender style.
