Lectotype ♀ K48703 AMS. Distribution: Australasian-Oceanian ( Australia, all mainland states). Records from Fiji removed by MacGowan (2014c: 549). Lectotype designation by Blacket & Malipatil 2010: 34. Combination by Bezzi 1923: 183.
splendida ( Broun, 1904: 307) (Lonchaea) View in CoL (junior homonym of Lonchaea splendida Loew, 1873 View in CoL ). Type locality: New Zealand – as an import but not established (bred from tomatoes imported from Australia). Type locality unknown.
rugosifrons ( Bezzi, 1923: 183) (Lonchaea) View in CoL . Type localities: Sydney , New South Wales ( Australia). Type Ô and ♀. Type locality unknown. Synonymy by Pitkin 1989: 476.
