Types. Syntypes: 1♀ & 1 nymph ♀, Than-Moi, Tonkin ( Vietnam), VI–VII, Fruhstorfer, H., catalog no. 962 ( NHMW) ; 2♀, Than-Moi, Tonkin ( Vietnam), VI–VII, Fruhstorfer, H. ( ISNB) ; 1 nymph, Bengalen, Java ( MNHN). = Sipyloidea taeniata Redtenbacher, 1908: 545 . [Synonymised by Ho, 2013b: 20]

Distribution. Hainan (Bawangling and Jianfengling), China, Java and Vietnam ( Type localities). Notes. Ho (2013b) first reported this species from China.
