Material examined. Three specimens: MNRJ 26922 (2, 326.0–363.0 mm), T, E-503; MNRJ 26923 (1, 331.0 mm), T, E-523.
Distribution. First record of Nezumia atlantica in the WSA. Collected from off Bahia and Espírito Santo, at depths from 714 to 942 m. It was described from the Gulf of Mexico ( 27°48’ N, 89°56’ W), and was previously recorded from Straits of Florida, throughout the Caribbean to 5° N in the northern part of South America (Cohen et al. 1990).
