Type:— GUATEMALA. East of Guatemala, s. loc., ex hort., April 1885, S. Watson s.n. ( lectotype, designated here: GH 6827 !, GH 83029 microscope slide).
Notes: — Watson (1887) described N. guatemalensis without indicating the holotype or herbarium where the deposit occurred. A collection of N. guatemalensis carried out by Watson without a collection number in the type locality in 1885 and this was located in the collection at GH, which is designated here as a lectotype.
