Distribution. Endemic of Morocco.
Note. One typus male of L. mauritanica G. A. Olivier, 1790 in coll. E. Olivier - MNP ( Geisthardt 1982). Lampyris mauritanica G. A. Olivier was considered a synonym of N. reichii by McDermott (1966). Lampyris mauritanica G. A. Olivier, 1790 is a homonym of mauritanica Linnaeus, 1758 .
