Swan, D.C. (1931) On a new species of Ixodes ( Ix. hydromyidis ) from Western Australia. Parasitology, 23, 485– 487.

Type depositories: CDS and WAM?: syntypes (females and a nymph)

Type localities: Mundarig Weir and Kabamunda, Western Australia, Australia

Type hosts: Hydromys fuliginosus and Rattus rattus

Comments: Swan (1931) stated that two female syntypes would be deposited in the WAM , while a female and a nymph would be retained in the CDS.
