General distribution. Endemic to Hispaniola.

Distribution in the DR. Cordillera Central, Independencia and Barahona ( Fig 2. A View FIGURE 2 ).

Habitat. Elevation 650–1100 m asl. The insect generally flies at low elevations in areas that are heavily forested. It appears to be local but can be extremely frequent where it is found ( Fig 9. F View FIGURE 9 ).

Host plants. Probably Rubiaceae .
