According to Recommendation 60C of the Melbourne Code (2012) and information provided by Turland (2013, p. 91–92), the termination of the epithet has been corrected. This species shows an infrequent first trifoliolate lobed leaf and rugose seed testa ( Fig. 5 View FIG ); it needs additional collecting across the Peninsula of Baja California to confirm its status as endemic of southern Baja California Sur ( Freytag & Debouck 2002).
