Description of Pontibacillus litoralis CAU 1722 View in CoL
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rod-shaped with flagella. Colonies are cream, Circular, smooth, entire, convex, and opaques after 3 days of incubation on MA at 25℃. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and gelatinase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, and β -galactosidase activities. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid.
