Notes. Of the four specimens reviewed, one female is labeled as holotype, another female as allotype (= paratype), and the remaining two paratypes. However, data provided for the holotype match information in the original description by Plummer (1936), but those of the “ allotype ” do not. Plummer, while conducting fieldwork in Mexico during the 1930s to early 40s, worked closely with the government agency of Secretaría de Agricultura y Fomento (late 1940s; Marin pers. comm.) and was provided with collecting gear, drawers, type labels, etc. During his stay, attached labels to specimens examined ( Fig. 30 D View FIGURE 30 ), do not indicate the date of determination and may have been added subsequent to Plummer’s publications. Presumably, some changes were made by Plummer between the time when he examined the specimens and the time when the species descriptions were published. Plummer (1936) stated that the type series included 8 female and 1 male paratype, in addition to the female holotype and male allotype. We consider the two female specimens examined to be paratypes because the label data are consistent with information provided in the original description.
