World distribution. Chile.
Chilean distribution. This species has been recorded only for Coquimbo and Maule region ( Fig. 197 View FIGURE 197 ).
Altitudinal range. From coastal to inland valley ecosystems ( 2– 491 m.a.s.l.).
Biology and notes. The habitat of P. schoenemanni has been intensively replaced with crops or urbanization, mainly in central Chile where many native ecosystems already are threatened ( Alaniz et al., 2016). On the other hand, Maulino forest has been replaced by forestry ( Miranda et al., 2017) decreasing the habitat quality. Therefore, we applied precautory principle to assign a Red List classification to this species. All basic aspects of its biology and ecology remain unknown.
Conservation status. EN under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 8 km 2 and two localities (or subpopulations).
