figs. 46–51, 94 (♂ sternites, distiphallus, posterior surstyli; ♀ synsternum). Under “Etymology,” Freidberg et al. 1991: 19 stated, “The specific epithet, incipiens , was a manuscript name given by George Steyskal, but nobody, including him, can say why.”
