Type material. HOLOTYPE: MONTENEGRO: ♂: one label “MONTENEGRO XB239 / Studena Pećina / 42.927034, 19.07300 / Mokro Polje , Šavnik / 30.IX.2023 T. Delić lgt.“ [white, printed] ( PCPH) GoogleMaps . PARATYPES: MONTENEGRO: 3 ♂♂, same data as for holotype, 2 specimens bearing the following voucher codes: XB240 and XB250. ( DBBF, NHMM, PCPH) GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. Body shiny, unicolorous dark reddish-brown; head capsule elongate; eyes completely atrophied with minuscule ocular spine; lacking ocular carinae; vertexal foveae large; antennae when bent backwards, almost reaching half of length of elytra; all antennomeres elongate; pronotum with shallow median impression and well-defined lateral foveae; lacking antebasal sulcus; elytra trapezoidal; abdomen about 1.2 times as long as elytra and wider than elytra; anterior part of first visible tergite 1 (IV) with one median and two lateral, subequal well-separated deep impressions; external stria diffuse with tergal margin, internal stria fine, very short, almost invisible. Aedeagus with right distal part of median lobe bird's head with a beak like, with more pre-distal setae; left distal part of median lobe with two slender, long, inward-oriented projections.

Description. Body ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–3 ) shiny, unicolorous dark reddish-brown, smooth with long setae; length about 3.1 mm, maximum width 0.95 mm; whole body almost smooth, with only very sparse, almost invisible and unevenly distributed minuscule punctures.

Head capsule elongate, about 1.2 times as long as wide, as long as pronotum; lacking rostrum; frons with deep excavation between prominent antennal tubercles; eyes completely atrophied with minuscule ocular spine; lacking ocular carinae; vertexal foveae large, deep, well-separated by slightly convex surface; temples with long, erect setae, sharply arcuately convergent to posterior margin of head capsule, here width is about 0.35 of maximum width of head capsule; maxillary palpi small, palpomere 2 pedunculate, about as long as 4 and 3, triangular, smallest, palpomere 4 fusiform, 0.27 mm long, about 3.4 times as long as wide. Antennae about 1.5 mm long, when bent backwards, almost reaching half of length of elytra; all antennomeres elongate, scape about 1.4 times as long as pedicel, pedicel 1.5 times as long as 3, antennomeres 3, 4, 6 and 10 subequal in length, 5 twice as long as wide, 1.27 times as long as 4 and 6, antennomere 7 slightly longer than 6 and 1.5 times as long as 8 and 9, 9 as long as wide, 10 about 1.2 as long as wide, terminal antennomere longest, pointed apically, about 1.5 times as long as 10.

Pronotum about 1.2 times as long as wide, widest in middle; with shallow median impression and well-defined lateral foveae; lacking antebasal sulcus.

Elytra trapezoidal, with slightly rounded lateral margins; 1.15 times as long as wide, about 1.2 times as long as pronotum.

Abdomen about 1.2 times as long as elytra, wider than elytra; first visible tergite 1 (IV) trapezoidal, evenly divergent posteriad; clearly longer than rest of visible tergites, on anterior margin with one median and two lateral, subequal deep well separated impressions; external stria diffuse with tergal margin, internal stria fine, very short, almost invisible.

Legs long and slender, without any modification.

Aedeagus ( Figs 2, 3 View FIGURES 1–3 ) 0.63 mm long, about 2.5 times as long as wide, basal part subcircular, about 0.4 of length of aedeagus; in ventral view, right distal part of median lobe bird's head with a beak like, with more pre-distal setae; left distal part of median lobe with two slender, long, inward-oriented projections; diaphragm large, subcircular.

Sexual dimorphism. Female unknown.

Habitat. All specimens were found “floating” on the water surface of the syphon, at the end of the so-called “meandarski kanal” in Studena pećina, Morko polje, at the approximate distance of 350 m from the cave entrance.

Etymology. The origin of the name is patronymic, dedicated to Petar and Svetomir Čvorović, the locals who showed us the entrance to the cave and generously expressed their hospitality to the last author.

Remarks. Seracamaurops cvorovici is classified in the nominal subgenus having dorsal and ventral parts of the first visible tergite (IV) delimited by a well-defined lateral margin, and a pronotum lacking discal carinae, lateral spines and a median sulcus. Identification of species of this subgenus requires examination of the aedeagus, where the main distinguishing features are the shape of the left and right distal part of the median lobe. The aedeagus of S. cvorovici has similar structure as S. delici Lohaj, Pavićević & Lakota, 2023 , both having the right distal part of median lobe bird's head with a beak like, although the beak of S. delici is very long and slender with oval top of head, in S. cvorovici is short and the top of head is truncate; the left distal part of S. delici and S. cvorovici differs by length of external processes as well as by their orientation.
