Material examined. 1 male, 24.2 by 22.8 mm, 2 females, 24.3 by 23.4 mm, 20.3 by 19.1 mm, ( ZRC; NJL160839–41 ), Iligan town, Lanao del Norte prov., coll. N. J. Lagare, 19-21 Sep. 2016 ; Brgy . 1 male, 27.5 by 25.4 mm, Brgy. Poblacion, Maigo town , Lanao del Norte prov., coll. N.J. Lagare, 22 Sep. 2016 .

Remarks. Utica gracilipes White, 1847 ( type locality: Negros I., Philippines) is widely distributed in the Indo-West Pacific: viz. Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, southern Japan, and Fiji ( Adams & White 1849; Holthuis 1978; Naruse et al. 2005). In the Philippines, besides Negros I., this species has also been recorded from Mindoro I. (Puerto Galera), Bohol I. (Antequerra), and Mindanao I. ( Zamboanga), generally from freshwater habitats ( White 1847 b, c; Adams & White 1849; de Elera 1895; Estampador 1937; N.K. Ng et al. 2007). Additional records are noted for northern Mindanao in the present study ( Iligan and Maigo), where the specimens were observed on the edges of slow-moving freshwater streams, beneath leaf litter and fallen branches.
